It has really been awhile....and so much has changed.

Well, the last time I posted was in 2015...4 years gone and in the record books. Well, no records were set. My husband and brother-in-law started their maple syrup business but lost it all in a barn fire in February of 2018.  So now they are in the business of just rebuilding the barn.  I don't think that any maple syrup will be in the foreseeable future.  They both are getting ready to retire and fixing up old cars is looking better and better.
My sister and I had some of our stamp business in the barn too, but due to very persistent and courageous firemen our little corner of the barn was saved.  So we are still going strong in the stamp and paper crafting world.  My sister more than I...she and her family do all the shows and I just make sure that they have the stamps. Thankfully when I retired from pottery I had sold or gave away all of my supplies and equipment before the fire. Now I have discovered the world of "junk journaling" and enjoy creating things with paper, glue, stamps and a sewing machine.  All my years of hoarding every kind of paper imaginable, file folders, old books, magazines and a ton of stuff (my husband would call junk)...now is paying off. And the plus side to junk journaling is that it is a lot lighter to lift than stoneware pottery.
So with all of that said...turning a corner and starting a new and different chapter....I hope to post now and then about the stamping and journaling goodies that we (my sister, I and StampOnIt)are working on and this summer is going to be special with some of the grandkids working on journals of their own. It is fun taking scraps and found stuff from thrift stores and garage sales and making a beautiful creative card for someone or a special journal for all those wonderful memories.
And hopefully I can figure out how to change the name of my blog...because there is no more pottery!
...taking my own photographs and making paper...
my very messy and cluttered workspace...

...my photographs of flowers, pottery letters that survived the fire and a very special picture of my mom.

  1. Hi Judy ~ Are you the gal who made beautiful leaves and such out of clay and used to sell at Sunshine Church (on the E. Beltline) Craft Shows? If so, I used to love your leaves!! I am sorting through old business cards and trying to dispose of ones from businesses no longer operating. Thank you.
