It has really been awhile....and so much has changed.

Well, the last time I posted was in 2015...4 years gone and in the record books. Well, no records were set. My husband and brother-in-law started their maple syrup business but lost it all in a barn fire in February of 2018.  So now they are in the business of just rebuilding the barn.  I don't think that any maple syrup will be in the foreseeable future.  They both are getting ready to retire and fixing up old cars is looking better and better.
My sister and I had some of our stamp business in the barn too, but due to very persistent and courageous firemen our little corner of the barn was saved.  So we are still going strong in the stamp and paper crafting world.  My sister more than I...she and her family do all the shows and I just make sure that they have the stamps. Thankfully when I retired from pottery I had sold or gave away all of my supplies and equipment before the fire. Now I have discovered the world of "junk journaling" and enjoy creating things with paper, glue, stamps and a sewing machine.  All my years of hoarding every kind of paper imaginable, file folders, old books, magazines and a ton of stuff (my husband would call junk)...now is paying off. And the plus side to junk journaling is that it is a lot lighter to lift than stoneware pottery.
So with all of that said...turning a corner and starting a new and different chapter....I hope to post now and then about the stamping and journaling goodies that we (my sister, I and StampOnIt)are working on and this summer is going to be special with some of the grandkids working on journals of their own. It is fun taking scraps and found stuff from thrift stores and garage sales and making a beautiful creative card for someone or a special journal for all those wonderful memories.
And hopefully I can figure out how to change the name of my blog...because there is no more pottery!

Just a few of the sizes...Quart, Pint and Jelly Jar.

The mandatory label.
This is a 12 oz Jug for $8.00 and we have a 16 oz Jug for $10.00.  As I am closing down this site soon....I will be opening a new site "Old Sap's PMS Pure Maple Syrup".  You can also find us on Facebook under the same name.

Windsong

The big kiln, rolling table, clay, and most of my equipment is sold.  All I have left to sell is some glazes and two smaller kilns....which I will get around to this coming spring.  My facebook page is closing down and I am veering off on a new page Windsong Inc.  I will be making stamps and keeping up with the whereabouts of Stamp On It, Inc., lot's of journaling ideas, kid's crafts, quilting and many more creative things.  Eventually I am also closing down my blog....just because pottery is on the pages of past history for me.  Looking forward to a great new year....blessings!

Bailey Kiln Model LT-3K-H with kiln sitter

Model LT-3K-H Bailey high fire kiln, with kiln sitter.   Max temp 2350 F.  The kiln is 20 1/2" with a 19" extension.  I bought the kiln brand new and my husband (electrician) has maintained it the whole time.  It is plugged in and still working.  It has 7  27" half moon shelves and all the posts included. A couple of the shelves are warped and should be replaced.   The fire brick are all in good condition.  The lid shows some cracks but nothing is loose.  Asking $650.00.  Message me if interested.  Judy

Selling my pottery tools....Slab Roller, Extruder, and Kiln.

After over 30 years of doing pottery I am calling it quits.  I have for sale my Brent SR 36 slab roller with a Bailey extruder attached to the table.  The rolling table is a double pass and is in very good condition.   The extruder has all the dies and they are stainless.  And I am happy to report that I have sold the slab roller and extruder.  They will be moving on to a new artist soon.
